History
From a bold new beginning to a full rebirth after adversity — the story of Colpo di Fortuna.
The beginning
After taking the decision to change course in life, we acquired our estate in 2011. After more than a year of renovation, we opened Villa NuMoViv (Nuovo Modo di Vivere — a new way of living) in 2012. We even featured in an episode of the Dutch TV show ‘Ik Vertrek’ in 2013. After three successful years, we had to close our doors in 2016 when our own house became uninhabitable following the major earthquakes in Central Italy.
Reconstruction
After the 2016 earthquakes, we waited more than five years to reconstruct our house, finally finished in November 2021. At the same time, we started a huge renovation project, giving the apartments and every outdoor space a complete make-over. In mid-July 2022, we reopened our agriturismo under a new name: Colpo di Fortuna.
